whatevr

privacy policy

effective july 4, 2026

whatevr ("we", "us") is a food and health logging app. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: your data powers your own tracking, we don't sell it, and you can delete everything in one tap.

what we collect

how AI is involved

When you describe what you ate — by voice or text — the description is sent to third-party AI providers to estimate calories and nutrients, and label photos are read by vision AI. These providers process your content to return a result; we do not use your data to train AI models. Descriptions are matched against nutrition databases including USDA, Open Food Facts, and the fatsecret Platform API.

what we share (and don't)

retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account (in the app: settings → account) permanently erases your profile, logs, connections, and tokens from our systems.

age

whatevr is for adults. We don't offer accounts to anyone under 18, and we never knowingly collect data from children under 13 — if an account indicates an age under 13 during setup, everything entered is deleted immediately.

not medical advice

whatevr provides estimates for general wellness tracking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice — talk to a doctor before making significant changes to your diet or exercise.

changes & contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in the app. Questions or requests (including data export or deletion): support@whatevr.dev.
